Explore diverse tattoo styles that express your unique personality. From timeless Traditional and Realism to vibrant Watercolor and intricate Geometric designs, discover the perfect art form for your body canvas. Our skilled artists specialize in various styles, ensuring the ink reflects your individuality.
Black & grey realism tattoos are all about capturing the depth and drama of life in shades of grey. From portraits and wildlife to surreal compositions, this style uses smooth gradients, shadow play, and meticulous detail to bring your vision to life. At Apollo, our black & grey realism is executed by skilled artists who understand both the technique and the emotion behind every image.
Cursive tattoos bring handwritten beauty to the skin, turning names, lyrics, and quotes into fluid, flowing art. This style requires balance, spacing, and a steady hand. At Apollo, we refine every letterform to reflect both the meaning and aesthetic—ensuring your script is timeless and tasteful.
Neo-traditional tattoos combine the bold lines and strong imagery of traditional tattoos with a more modern, illustrative flair. This style often features rich colors, layered shading, and ornate details. At Apollo, our neo-traditional work honors tattoo history while evolving it—bringing fresh life to timeless motifs with skill and creativity.
Dotwork tattoos build form and depth through thousands of tiny dots. This technique is perfect for mandalas, sacred geometry, and abstract designs, offering a softer, more organic feel than solid lines. At Apollo, our artists use precision and patience to craft dotwork that’s both intricate and powerful.
Blackwork tattoos use solid black ink to create powerful, high-contrast designs—ranging from abstract geometry to striking symbolism. This style’s bold simplicity and deep saturation make a lasting visual impact. At Apollo, we design blackwork to flow beautifully with your body and wear strong for life.
Sacred geometry tattoos use symmetrical patterns and timeless forms to reflect harmony, balance, and deeper meaning. From mandalas to intricate fractals, this style speaks to both the spiritual and the aesthetic. At Apollo, we craft sacred geometry with precision, purpose, and reverence for its origins.
Fine line tattoos are the epitome of subtle sophistication. Whether it's delicate floral work or minimalist script, this style focuses on precise, crisp lines and intricate detail to create tattoos that feel both airy and intentional. At Apollo, our fine line work is handled with the utmost care and precision—perfect for both first-timers and collectors who appreciate the power of restraint.
Animal portrait tattoos capture the spirit of the creatures we admire most. Whether it’s a beloved pet or a symbolic wild animal, this style brings lifelike detail and emotion to fur, feathers, and features. At Apollo, we create animal portraits that feel alive—crafted with accuracy, depth, and heart.
Watercolor tattoos bring painterly beauty to the skin with soft blends, brushstroke textures, and splashes of vivid color. Often used to enhance florals, animals, or abstract designs, this style creates a dreamy, flowing look. At Apollo, our artists use expert technique to ensure watercolor tattoos stay vibrant and stunning over time.
Minimalist tattoos prove that less can absolutely be more. These designs rely on clean lines, smart spacing, and subtle symbolism to convey big meaning with visual simplicity. Whether it’s a small personal symbol or a concept distilled to its essence, Apollo’s minimalist tattoos are understated statements of self-expression.
Script and lettering tattoos transform language into visual art. Whether it’s a name, quote, or custom phrase, this style demands balance, elegance, and technical control. At Apollo, we collaborate with you to perfect the font, flow, and meaning—ensuring your words make a lasting impression.
Realism tattoos capture the world as it is—detailed portraits, nature, and objects brought to life with expert shading and contrast. Whether black & grey or full color, this style demands precision and depth. At Apollo, we specialize in realism that moves people—turning your vision into lasting, skin-deep art.
Black and gray tattoos use layered shading, smooth gradients, and crisp lines to create depth and mood without color. From realism to illustrative work, this versatile style emphasizes form, contrast, and flow. At Apollo, we specialize in black and gray that’s rich with emotion and expertly tailored to your body.
Bold lines, classic iconography, and Americana roots define our traditional tattoos. These pieces are known for their timeless appeal and striking simplicity—ideal for clients who value heritage and bold visuals
Geometric tattoos draw inspiration from symmetry, math, and sacred shapes to create designs that feel both modern and meaningful. Whether you're drawn to mandalas, minimalist patterns, or large-scale symmetrical compositions, our artists at Apollo use geometry to create powerful visual impact with purpose and flow.
Tribal tattoos speak through bold black shapes, cultural roots, and symbolic patterns. From Polynesian to Filipino and beyond, this style tells stories of heritage, strength, and identity. At Apollo, we approach tribal work with deep respect and precision—creating bold designs that honor their origin and wearer.
Abstract tattoos defy rules—blending linework, shading, and shape into bold personal statements. Often freeform and emotionally driven, this style captures feeling over form. At Apollo, we work closely with clients to channel their vision into abstract art that’s unique, dynamic, and deeply resonant.
Illustrative tattoos are where bold storytelling meets artistic freedom. Combining elements of traditional drawing and inking, this style emphasizes clear outlines, dynamic compositions, and often whimsical or narrative-driven content. At Apollo, we use this style to turn your story or concept into a visually striking, expressive tattoo.
Vibrant, expressive, and endlessly versatile—our color tattoos are crafted with saturated inks and expert blending techniques to ensure your piece pops for years to come. Whether it’s bold traditional color or modern illustrative shading, our artists bring your palette to life.
Floral tattoos celebrate the beauty of nature through roses, lilies, wildflowers, and more. Whether realistic, stylized, or decorative, this style is endlessly versatile—symbolizing growth, love, or personal meaning. At Apollo, we craft floral pieces that bloom with detail, flow with your body, and feel timeless.

Your tattoo is a fresh work of art—and a fresh wound. Expect redness, slight swelling, and sensitivity. Plasma and ink may seep in the first 24 hours—that’s normal. Keep it clean, avoid touching, and follow your artist’s wrap and washing instructions. Over the next few days, your skin will begin to seal, and any excess ink or lymphatic fluid will clear.
By the end of week one, scabbing and peeling will start as your skin regenerates. Mild itching is common, but resist the urge to scratch—let nature do its work. Keep moisturizing with fragrance-free lotion and continue washing gently. Your tattoo is still healing beneath the surface, so avoid prolonged sun exposure and excessive moisture (no swimming just yet).
Flaking and peeling should be wrapping up, revealing a clearer version of your tattoo. Some areas may look dull or slightly milky—this is normal as deeper layers of skin heal. It’s still vulnerable to sun and irritation, so continue moisturizing and shielding it from harsh elements.
Your tattoo should now look bold and fully set, with all surface healing complete. However, long-term care is key—moisturize regularly, use SPF when exposed to the sun, and keep your skin hydrated to maintain vibrancy. A great tattoo lasts forever; proper care keeps it looking its best.
I was absolutely blown away by Apollo Tattoo & Blue. The studio is stunning & the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I have been adding small pieces to my arms for a couple years now & wanted to add a pair of ballet shoes but was nervous because I couldn’t find any good inspo pics. I almost chickened out but then I saw Blues sketch of my tattoo and fell in love. It was amazing. And the tattoo turned out even better. His work is truly stunning. I will be going here from now on. And can’t wait to get another piece.
Brianna tattooed both my boyfriend and I for walk-ins and the experience was fantastic. We are in love with our new tattoos! Very clean, spacious and vibey studio.
clean shop. Friendly staff. Bunny was super nice and very professional! Taylor Olson Taylor Olson a day ago I had a wonderful experience. Bunny is the goat. It barely hurt when I got my navel and nostril done. The studio is very steril and inviting. I loved my experience ♥️
I was a walk-in and they took me right away. Very flexible with adjustments (design, font, etc). Clean and efficient work, was in & out within 1 hour and am super happy with the 2 small, delicate finelines I got!!
What an amazing experience! Very professional, clean environment. They did my first larger tattoo with shading. I felt very comfortable during the tattoo with very minimal pain. I would recommend this shop to family and friends and feel totally confident with my recommendation. I wish Blue and his staff all the best wishes for his shop to be a legend in LA!! Thank you so much for the most beautiful tattoo. ❤️

The great news is that the industry’s top inks, including those carried in our studio, are vegan brands.
Please note that being vegan does nothing to affect their quality. We will never compromise on the quality of materials used for your body art.

Well, it’s not like summoning a genie from a lamp, but it’s pretty straightforward. Pick up the phone, send an email, or drop by the shop. Just remember, your tattoo artist isn’t the Wizard of Oz – they can’t work miracles if you don’t reach out. The best way to schedule with us is with a phone call or if you want to schedule a consultation, or you know the artist you want to work with, you can schedule online
Think of it as a first date for you and your tattoo artist. You wouldn’t marry someone without getting to know them, right? A consultation helps you and your artist get on the same page and make sure your tattoo love story has a happy ending.
Getting a tattoo feels like a cross between a kitten’s gentle kiss and a chainsaw massage. It’s the kind of pain that makes you question every life decision you’ve ever made, especially if you’ve chosen a spot that’s as sensitive as a politician’s Twitter account. So, in short, it hurts, but hey, beauty is pain, right?
Well, let me put it this way, if you’re getting a tattoo from your buddy Bob who moonlights as a tattoo artist in his garage and sanitizes needles by blowing on them, then no, it’s not safe. But if you go to a reputable tattoo parlor with a licensed artist who actually knows what sterilization means, then yeah, it’s about as safe as crossing the street (unless you’re in New York City, in which case, good luck). Just make sure you don’t opt for a DIY tattoo kit from the back of a comic book, and you should be fine.
Well, kiddo, the age to get inked varies depending on where you are. In some places, you gotta be at least 18, which is basically the age when you’re legally allowed to do everything cool. But some areas might let you sneak into the tattoo shop at 16 or 17 with parental consent, so you can still feel like a rebel before hitting the big 1-8. Just remember, tattoos are for life (unless you want to quadruple the pain to your skin and wallet with laser removal down the line), so take your time deciding what you want, whether you’re 17 or 70.
Well, it’s not like getting ready for prom, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, don’t show up wasted; your artist ain’t your bartender. Second, make sure you’ve had a decent meal – passing out in the chair isn’t a good look. Lastly, if you’re going for a marathon ink session, bring some entertainment because it can get boring as heck. Oh, and shower. Your artist will thank you. So, to sum it up: sober, fed, clean, and entertained – that’s your pre-tattoo checklist.
Well, congratulations on the bun in the oven! But here’s the deal, getting inked while you’re cooking up a little one might not be the best idea. Let’s not make your unborn child’s first experience an impromptu tattoo needle serenade, shall we? And as for breastfeeding, it’s a tough world out there for those tiny taste-testers. So, maybe hold off on the ink until you’ve got a babysitter lined up.
Oh, the joys of teenage rebellion. Sure, your folks can sign the permission slip for that school field trip, but getting them to sign off on permanently etching your favorite band’s logo on your bicep? That’s a whole other ballgame. So, kiddo, maybe wait until you’ve got a bit more facial hair, both literally and metaphorically.
Well, if your sickness is of the “I can’t resist the urge to get inked” variety, then maybe it’s time for an intervention. But seriously, getting tattooed while you’re under the weather isn’t the brightest idea. Your body needs all its energy to fight off those pesky germs, not to mention the extra discomfort from the pain. So, maybe let the flu run its course first.
Absolutely! Tattoo artists aren’t running a used needle emporium. They’ll use fresh, sterile needles for every session. Your health and safety are top priorities – you’re not at a flea market!
Painkillers? Sure, if you want to turn your tattoo session into a blurry, drugged-up adventure! Seriously, consult your artist and a medical professional. Pain is part of the tattoo process – embrace it like a warrior!
Well, if you’re taking a daily dose of ‘Ibuprofen with a Side of Wisdom,’ you should be okay. But it’s always wise to consult your artist and a medical pro. Tattoos and prescription labels don’t usually hang out at the bar, but if you ensure no surprises they should mix without any knock-down, drag-out brawls breaking out.
Well, how much are you willing to part with your hard-earned cash? Tattoos can range from the cost of a decent dinner to a small down payment on a house. It all depends on size, complexity, and the whims of your tattoo artist. But hey, good ink ain’t cheap, and cheap ink ain’t good – or so they say.
Ah, the human canvas – it’s a fickle thing. While some parts of your body might heal up like a champ, others can be a bit diva-like in their recovery process. The bony, high-maintenance areas like your elbows, knees, and feet tend to be the slowest healers. So, be patient, my friend, and give those temperamental spots some extra TLC.
Well, if you’re a true tattoo aficionado, you know there’s no bad time for some ink, right? But let’s get real; winter might not be the best pick. Imagine trying to flaunt your fresh ink while bundled up like an Eskimo – not exactly the fashion statement you had in mind, is it?
Ah, the eternal struggle of art versus nature! Hair’s a stubborn little thing, and it’ll keep doing its thing through your tattoo. But don’t worry, your tattoo artist won’t be held responsible for any hairy surprises. You’ll just have to work on your new look as a walking, talking art gallery!
Swimming with your fresh tattoo? Sure, if you want your artwork to dissolve into the pool like a modern art experiment gone wrong! Seriously though, give it at least two to three weeks. The pool will still be there, but your tattoo needs some quality alone time.
Imagine mowing a freshly landscaped garden. Not a good idea, huh? Shaving over your new tattoo is a bit like that. Wait at least a few weeks, or you’ll end up with a garden full of regrets!
Time, sunshine, and maybe a little too much scrubbing in the shower – that’s the recipe for fading tattoos. So, if you want your ink to stay vivid, try not to turn into a vampire who avoids sunlight, and be gentle when you’re soaping up your artwork.
Sure, you can donate blood, but you might want to hold off right after getting inked. It’s not because your tattoo is secretly a vampire bite, but it’s better to let it heal properly before becoming a blood donor superhero.
A chef’s secret recipe, perhaps? Well, not quite, but get 100 artists in a room and ask them how to heal a tattoo… You’ll have 100 different options to choose from! These days a lot of artists will have you use a medical grade bandage to protect for a week or so, then if anything some light (and very lightly applied) tattoo aftercare ointment will do the trick. Follow your artist’s instructions, or risk turning your artwork into a hot mess – and not in a good way!
Good news – you don’t have to live the rest of your life in a stinky bubble. You can shower, but be gentle! No aggressive scrubbing, or your new tattoo might turn into a modern art piece, and not the good kind.
It’s not a snake shedding its skin – it’s your tattoo healing. Keep it clean and moisturized and resist the urge to pick at it like you’re saving up for your prized scab collection. Patience is key, grasshopper.
Unless you’re getting a tattoo on your eyelids and can’t keep your eyes open, you’ll probably be just fine. No need to book a post-tattoo vacation. Life goes on, even with a bit of ink under your skin!
