Apollo is a direct authorized retailer of Body Vision Los Angeles (BVLA) — meaning every piece we sell comes directly from BVLA's workshop, never through resellers or grey-market channels. We work with Megan at BVLA directly on custom orders, design consultations, and the rotating piece library we keep on hand at the studio.
BVLA is the gold standard in handcrafted solid-gold body jewelry — 14k and 18k yellow, white, and rose gold; ethically-sourced gemstones; designs that don't exist anywhere else. Every piece is made-to-order in BVLA's LA facility (15 minutes from Apollo by car) and arrives at the studio sealed and traceable.
What we keep in stock at Apollo: a curated collection of best-selling BVLA threadless ends, classic flatbacks, and seasonal pieces. What we order custom: everything else. The custom timeline is usually 4-6 weeks from order to arrival; appointments can be scheduled around expected delivery.

Threadless BVLA uses a tension-fit pin that bends slightly to lock into a labret post — no screw threads to cross or strip, very easy to swap. Internally threaded ends screw into the labret post and offer slightly more security for heavy or oversized pieces. Both are biocompatible and safe for healed piercings; threadless is generally preferred for fresh or newer healed piercings.

We recommend giving yourself an extra 10 minutes to park on weekends — Main Street gets busy with the farmers market and beach traffic.
